A Heartfelt Presence, A Personal Touch

    Hello there, I’m Theresa Benton.

    I provide beautiful, traditional and memorable celebration for couples and their families and friends.

    The ceremonies I officiate include many traditional, spiritual and meaningful elements which can be tailored to your particular needs making them bespoke and personal.  

    These celebrations are not just confined to wedding blessings and renewals, but also include naming ceremonies (including celebrations for trans and Enby folks), friendship ceremonies, family blessings, motherhood blessing circles and memorials.  

    The setting for these ceremonies would very much be dependent upon the space you are able to provide. Preferably, open air settings allow for a greater connection to nature which is celebrated within the blessings provided.

    I also provide a Bohemian style handmade macrame backdrop and alter which creates stunning photo opportunities.

    Ceremonies would last around 30-40 minutes each, depending upon the selection of blessings you require. I work closely with my couples in preparation for their ceremony which includes me discussing you ceremony, supporting you with any planning or vow writing and the production of a ceremony certificate which would be presented to you following the blessing.  Additional bespoke props may also be included such as a wood carvings or printed candlesdepending upon the choices made.

    Please be aware, that a wedding ceremonies is not legally binding and a “jeans and t-shirt” marriage would need to take place at a registry office.  

    This is obviously only needed for anyone wanting an official legal ceremony, all other ceremonies, vow renewals and blessings do not have any legal requirements.

    Using a celebrant to officiate a wedding ceremony does allow the freedom of choice and venue that using a registrar would incur.  

    I take the greatest of pride in ensuring my couples and families have a beautiful and memorable experience which they can treasure for the rest of their lives and beyond. I am passionate about what I do and aim to be the best I can be in this field.  When conducting my ceremonies, I share an intense connection on both a personal and spiritual level with my couples which intensifies the emotions felt by all present.  I feel both privileged and honoured to be able to share in these moments and I am excited to share this experience with you.
